Why choose us?

Practical hire support from quote to collection.

The booking team confirms the important details up front, including availability, driver rules, mileage, delivery and any specialist vehicle requirements.

Read the booking terms

Free Delivery & Collection

Ask for the hire vehicle to be delivered to and collected from an eligible UK mainland home or workplace address.

The address, access, timing and vehicle must be confirmed. Stations, airports and ports are excluded from standard delivery, as are empty properties where the customer is not registered. Failed, changed or specialist arrangements can incur charges.

Unlimited Rental Mileage

Unlimited mileage is offered on eligible rentals within the stated fair-use policy, so the expected distance and intended use should be declared before booking.

Fair-use and use-specific terms apply. Courier use is prohibited. Tell the booking team the expected mileage and whether the vehicle will be used for another delivery service so any required written acceptance or excess-mile charges are clear before booking.

Entire United Kingdom Coverage

Delivery and collection can be checked for eligible local and long-distance vehicle-hire requests across the UK mainland.

The exact postcode, requested vehicle and date must be checked. Islands and non-mainland movements can require separate arrangements.

European Cover Option

Eligible vehicles may be taken to approved European destinations when permission, insurance and breakdown cover are arranged before departure.

Charges, deposits, documents, vehicle restrictions and country rules apply. One-way hire is limited to UK mainland postcodes, so European one-way hire is not offered.

One Way Vehicle Rental

Selected vehicles can be requested for collection from a different eligible UK mainland location, avoiding an unnecessary return journey.

The start and finish postcodes, vehicle, route and one-way charge must be confirmed before booking. The service is not available for European one-way journeys.

Insurance Is Included

Comprehensive insurance is normally included for eligible named drivers on vehicles up to and including 7.5 tonnes, unless a different arrangement is requested and approved.

Driver approval, excess and exclusions apply. Goods in transit, overhead-height, tyre, windscreen and flood damage are excluded. 18, 26 and 44 tonne vehicles require customer insurance and applicable operator credentials.

Company Own Insurance - 10%

A 10% hire-rate reduction may apply when an acceptable company motor policy provides the required comprehensive cover for the hired vehicle and drivers.

The policy and certificate of insurance must be supplied and approved before delivery, and the customer is responsible for adding the supplied vehicle to the Motor Insurance Database for the hire period. Eligibility depends on the vehicle and proposed use.

Wide Range Available

Compare the representative Hampshire range of cars, vans, minibuses and trucks before asking the booking team to match a vehicle group to the job or journey.

Images and model names describe representative classes. The exact make, model, transmission, body and specification are confirmed for the booking.

Hampshire journey planning

Local details that can change the hire plan

A county-wide request still turns on the exact address, road approach, meeting point and vehicle access. These examples show the details worth giving the booking team before a category is confirmed.

Planning vehicle hire in Alton

Alton station is on Station Road with car parking, bus links and step-free access, so a rail handover should identify the forecourt meeting point. Give the complete journey addresses and explain whether the booking also involves Holybourne and Binsted.

Planning vehicle hire in Basingstoke

The council marks Castons car park, RG21 7NP, as suitable for oversized vehicles such as large transit-type vans and separately says oversized vehicles may need more than one marked bay. Check current signs, charges and the dimensions of the supplied vehicle before entering. Give the complete journey addresses and explain whether the booking also involves Old Basing and Sherborne St John.

Planning vehicle hire in Hambledon

Hambledon Parish Council says the village has no public car park and asks visitors to park considerately, so vehicle size and the collection point need advance planning. Give the complete journey addresses and explain whether the booking also involves Denmead and Soberton.

Planning vehicle hire in Selborne

Selborne Parish Council identifies a public car park behind the Selborne Arms near the village centre, which is a clearer handover point than assuming roadside space. Give the complete journey addresses and explain whether the booking also involves Whitehill and Bordon.

Planning vehicle hire in Winchester

Winchester City Council directs coaches, minibuses, motorhomes, caravans and trailers that do not fit standard bays to the Coach Park in Worthy Lane. This does not automatically authorise a hired van, so confirm the supplied class and current parking terms before relying on it. Give the complete journey addresses and explain whether the booking also involves Kings Worthy and Headbourne Worthy.

Planning vehicle hire in Yateley

Reading Road/B3272 is the main east-west route through Yateley and connects local journeys towards the A30 and M3. Give the complete journey addresses and explain whether the booking also involves Eversley Centre and Cove.

How booking works

Start with the journey, passengers or load.

Tell the booking team where the journey starts and finishes, when the vehicle is needed and what it must carry. Those details shape the suitable category, handover arrangement and quote.

Compare passenger space, luggage room and manual or automatic transmission for the journey.
Share the load dimensions, access and payload so the booking team can compare practical van sizes.
Confirm passengers, luggage, pickup points and driver entitlement before choosing a seating group.
Describe the load, body type, route and loading method so vehicle and licence requirements can be checked.

Starting in a smaller settlement? Check the nearby areas covered across Hampshire, then give the full handover postcode when you call.

Planning guides

Local journey planning and vehicle choice advice.

All guides
SDVH minibus example for Southampton Airport journey planning
Southampton Airport journeys work best when the flight, rail connection, passenger count, luggage and final Hampshire destination are planned together rather than treated as a simple airport pickup.
SDVH van example for Portsmouth and Solent journey planning
Port and ferry journeys need more than a destination name: sailing time, terminal, vehicle carriage, passenger luggage and the exact handover address can all change the suitable hire plan.
SDVH commercial vehicle example for Basingstoke moving and business journeys
Basingstoke bookings often combine the M3 with homes, storage, Basing View, Chineham and several collection points, so vehicle size and access need to be planned as one job.
